Her poetic lyrics, coupled with her uniquely divine vocal abilities captivates listeners and places them into a hypnotic mantra beyond physical control. N'Dambi's soulful, jazzy melodies make her originally penned compositions come to life.
Born in Dallas, Texas to a singing family, N'Dambi was encouraged to sing and play piano at an early age. Her talents are multi-faceted; incorporating singing, songwriting and producing, as well as writing short stories, poetry and novels.
N'Dambi toured as a background vocalist for Erykah Badu whose debut album "Baduizm" went Platinum in two short months. N'Dambi appears on "Certainly/The Flipped It Mix" and on "Erykah Badu Live" as well as the music videos "On & On", "Next Lifetime" and "Tyrone".
As accompaniment for Ms. Badu, N'Dambi has made television appearances on such shows as "MTV Unplugged", "One Life to Live", "The David Letterman Show" and BET's "Planet Groove" among others.
To her recent credit N’Dambi not only appeared on Ms. Badu’s most recent release "Mama’s Gun" she Co-wrote one track entitled "Hey Sugah".
